I’m Deio(he/him) a graduate from the Royal Welsh Collage of Music and drama. I specialise in Set, Costume and Puppet design for theatre with a background in mixed media fine art. I was elected SU Drama Vice president for 2025-26. Additionally a recipient of the Cardiff New Theatre Society (1965-1997) Award in 2025.

I am based in Cardiff, a first language Welsh speaker from a little seaside town in Eryri called Criccieth (the proud birthplace of Cadwaladers Ice cream!) Experienced in developing original performance designs through research, sketchbooks, and presentation-based portfolios. Strong focus on storytelling, visual dramaturgy, and process-driven design, with work presented through detailed 1:25 scale models, PowerPoint presentations and hand-drawn / mixed-media sketchbooks.

My Approach to Design|


1.Initial response
